Why does MS Word's Grammar Check flag up the verb in following the sentence: "Lizzie unwrapped the parcel on her kitchen table." As an ex-English tutor, I cannot see for the life of me why the use of "unwrapped" in the above example is considered an instance of verbal confusion. Oddly enough, Grammar Check turns a blind eye to the verb "wrapped". Again, why? |
