Index Woes
I think I asked this already but I don't think anyone offered a solution.
In my index i DO NOT want to refernce a page No, as is the default for Word indexing. I want to refernece the text of a specific style that designates the name of the section the citation is in. (similar to the StyleRef field that you can insert into a header. Like this: Immune System ----- Section "Immune Disorders" [where "immune disorders is a style named stySectionNane and precedes the paragraph that contains the entry I want to index.] Thank You Susan Last edited by Charles Kenyon; 05-24-2021 at 02:26 PM. |

This is not how indexing works in Word. It does not refer to styles. It refers to index entries, only. It only gives a reference to the page on which the entry is found.
You could have dual-level entries that would have a heading of "Immune Disorders" and list entries that have that as a top-level setting of "Immune Disorders." |
