Accidently created a template in word that I can't delete!

I needed some small business card stock sized notes for a project. I thought that printing the rather than cursive would be more elegant. I found, what I thought was, a business card template from Staples. Not sure how I loaded it, but it showed one editable card with sample data, and the the balance of the 10-card sheet then displayed 9 blank business card spaces.

I deleted the data in the sample portion, expecting to be able to start there and create my notes. Instead I ended up with a grid that won't go away. ANY file I open with Word now has this as a background. Hopefully you can see the sample I'll upload. More hopefully, one of you will have the answer to my unplanned error.
