Question How to Print 3 x 5 Card in Word 2010?

I followed the instructions in an online video for printing a 3 x 5 card, but the card comes out blank.

Even though I set a custom paper size of 3' x 5" like this:

To confirm that the printer is not malfunctioning, I ran a test by printing the same file on a sheet of 8.5 x 11 paper, which came out like this:

I think I may have found where the problem lies. When I click the print button the paper size shows up in the settings as Envelope #10 instead of as Custom:

I'd be grateful for some help solving this problem.

Just in case it may be helpful, here's a screen shot of the Word 2010 editing window for the card I'm trying to print:

P.S. Would it be helpful if I were to attach a copy of the .docx file?

It took me three weeks of banging my head against a brick wall, but I finally figured out what the problem was: Windows Remote Desktop.

Full details here:

Just a moment...

Hi Cherles Kenyon,

I did try to follow the cross-posting etiquette guidelines, but was persuaded by the guys in the other forum to move my post over there.

After posting here I waited a couple of weeks, and after something like a hundred views of my post here without a single reply, I went over to the Windows TenForums subforum for MS Office, and posted there a llink to this thread here in MSOfficeForums, and asked them to come here to look at it.

In TenForums I immediately started getting replies, and after a few exchanges the guys over there complained that it was inconvenient for them to have to keep coming over here to look at my post, so they asked me to copy my post from here and repost it over there. There still wasn't a single reply here, so I complied with their request and edited my first post on TenForums to include the text and screenshots from my post over here, (which as far as I can tell still hasn't received a single reply except for your request that I follow cross-posting etiquette).

When the guys over at TenForums asked me to repost on their site, I did consider invoking the etiquette rules and telling them that they had to post over here. But I worried that doing that might only discourage them from continuing to help me. And taking into consideration that no one here had offered any help at all, I decided that I should yield to the request from those who were freely offering their time and experience to me in trying to solve the problem.

So, please accept my apology for the breach of etiquette. Perhaps now that you understand why I gave in to the urging of the folks on the other forum you might forgive this one misstep.
