Default How do I get rid of this type of symbol

when I open word? The symbol looks like an exaggerated L with them placed in each corner of the blank document. The lower left part of the L all point inward so the Ls would look like they are reversed. I cannot find out how to get rid of them. The marks look like they have to do with the margin and stay visible in the document but grayed.

I just unloaded all of the Asian languages and the crop marks disappeared. Here is the link that I found to walk me through it.
