How to view page breaks in web layout mode?
Is there any way to show or indicate page breaks in Word 2016 web layout mode? I'm willing to install a mod/addon/anything.
Also, can anyone with a later version of Word (after 2016) confirm whether their version shows page breaks on web layout mode please. Thanks. |

Web view is essentially viewing content as seen in a web browser.
No version of Word (or likely any program) shows page breaks in web view because there are no pages in web view. There are screens or windows which vary depending on the display. You can view them in draft view or print view. You could type (PAGE BREAK) where there are page breaks in your print view. These are not fixed, though. See: |

The version of Word I used to have until recently had it (2003 or 2007 I think). It would indicate page breaks with a thin horizontal grey line across the page. But if this feature has been removed from the latest Word versions, I'll just have to deal with it.
Thanks for the response. |

Perhaps I am mistaken. I no longer have Word 2003 or 2007 installed. There would be no reason for doing this, though, because "webpages" do not have pages. |

No it was me who was mistaken! Sorry you were right it was draft view.
Looks like MS removed the draft view button from the bottom bar with Word 2016, so I thought I was in the same view mode as old Word as the button was in the same location, not realising the view modes had been reorganised and I was actually in a different view mode. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. |

You can still use draft view in recent versions but have to go to the View tab to find it.
