I have made up a rough template for an invoice. Please see attached. The problem is when I type the dots move and moves everything else. What can I do please.

Word is not a typewriter!

They move because they are text not underlining.

Looking at your document, you are using the Enter key erratically. It is designed to end a paragraph, not a line.

You want your Invoice Form to be a template, not a document. The invoices will be documents created based on the template.

So how do I put the dots in and they disappear when typing but not moving other stuff?

Content Controls are used: Plain text, drop down, and combobox. They have a Group CC around them. You can move from place to type to place to type with the tab key. The invoice number is in a Content Control in a TextBox.
