Default Font color in high contrast mode

I am currently using a high contrast theme (dark background) to protect my eyes. Unfortunately, the Word versions later than 2007 do not show font color in high contrast mode. Since font colors are essential in my work, I am now stuck with 2007, unable to upgrade. I have posted a suggestion to Microsoft Suggestions, but I am not sure if anyone cares to look. In short, Word has regressed in terms of font color, and I really wonder when they will realize this and make the change. Can someone from Microsoft tell me please?
