'Sudden' formatting issues with #10 Envelope in Word 2016
For about a week, one of my users has formatting issues with #10 envelopes created from Word 2016 letter documents, in which the delivery address is pushed at least an inch lower than customary. This can be worked around by customizing the “From Top” Envelope Option from Auto to 2.0 inches, but I cannot determine why this happened or how to correct it permanently; we've made no changes to printer drivers or Word settings (I did run Word Repair this morning, with no fix) and no other users appear to have been affected in this way. Has anyone else seen (and overcome) this? |

The envelope address position is determined by the envelope address style in the letter template (or if not present, the user's normal template). If all users have the same template, it seems the latter could be the issue. Repairing Word has no effect on the normal template.
Frankly it would be better to use an envelope template. You could use Simple Envelope Creator which includes several popular envelope templates and an explanation on the web page how to create others.
