How Do I Get Rid of Unwanted Underlining?
Sometimes, a whole line of underlining appears and when I try to delete it, it does not go away. If I try to delete the spaces above and below it, it still doesn't go away. How can I get rid of it? |

Your description suggests you've managed to apply a bottom border, rather than an underline. Use the borders tool. You can remove borders via the Borders button in the Paragraph group on the Ribbon's Home tab.

How Do I Get Rid of Unwanted Underlining?
There is no Borders button or Paragraph group in my version of Word. So I still can't get rid of that border.
