Extremely slow WORD while writing
Hi All, I am using a big WORD file (35Mb) and I am having an extremely slow writing specially in some parts of the file.... seems to me that at the beginning of the file the speed of writing is normal, while in the center is slow, and in the end is again a bit faster.
There are lot of images and text Is that due to the dimension 35Mb? How can I solve this issue? Thanks |

More RAM on your computer might help.
It is not so much the size of the document as it is the structure. Try working in draft mode. One thing can be direct formatting vs. formatting using styles. See Importance of Styles in Word |

Draft view does not try to show you what the printed version will look like on your screen. Performance of documents depends very much on the document structure. I have huge documents that work well. Did you read the link I gave, in particular the experiments I ran. You can also turn off background repagination. Draft view is the quickest, though. In saving as .doc format you lose a number of features. |
