Word acts slowly
hello
I added too many footnotes to a typical Word document, but the software has become very slow so that working with it has become very hard and impossible. How can I do to fi it up? |

How many are too many?
Firstly, you might have better luck if you convert the footnotes to endnotes. If that doesn't improve the speed then you may need to show that information a different way and delete the footnotes. If you are working with an old computer or one lacking in RAM then it might be worth trying the file on a newer machine to see if that improves the responsiveness.

20 footnotes each page.
Thank you. |

20 footnotes sounds excessive. When your footnotes take up more than half the page, the point of a footnote is lost. I suggest you work out a better place to provide this additional information.
Try converting to endnotes so the body of the document regains its importance.
