auto replacing a word as I go

Hi,



I need that when I write /def it changes to [def] in a specific format and in blue.

This is for some sort of coding. it would save me a lot of time and search and replace won't work for that.

Any idea how word can recognize /def and auto switch it to what I need in the format I need?
