auto replacing a word as I go
Hi,
I need that when I write /def it changes to [def] in a specific format and in blue. This is for some sort of coding. it would save me a lot of time and search and replace won't work for that. Any idea how word can recognize /def and auto switch it to what I need in the format I need? Thanks a bunch Alex |

Select some instance of [def] that is formatted exactly as you want it. Then go to File > Options > Proofing > AutoCorrect Options... > AutoCorrect. Make sure the Formatted text option is selected and type /def in the Replace box. Then OK out of those dialogs.
Now test it by typing /def followed by a space
