Angry Text Alignment

This issue has been a thorn in my side.

I am formatting my resume and have structured it so employment details are on the left hand side and job description is on the right hand side.

Problem is I cannot get the text on the left and the right to align perfectly so to appear on the same sentence. I really don't want to type everything up again.

Also for some reason when I hit backspace on the first paragraph on the right hand side the word appears vertically later on down the page.

Please see image above.

Your help is much appreciated, thank you.

Most resumes are in Word Tables.
Vertical spacing within cells is usually controlled by paragraph formatting of space before or space after.

You may want to change your table so that you have more rows. They are easier to align. Turn on display of table gridlines to see where your rows are.

Hi Charles,

I tried turning on grid lines yet that doesn't help as I have no ability to make the text into alignment. I have tired playing around around with the paragraph formatting to no avail.

Is this alignment possible? or do you recommend I just leave it as is

Yes it is possible, but there is no "alignment" command for this.

While a screenshot is helpful, there is no way anyone looking at a screenshot can tell what the underlying problem is. You can attach a sample with personal information removed if you want.

Here is my page on text alignment in Word but I do not think it will help you much.

I've fiddled with it and have managed to align most paragraphs. This will have to do for now.

Thank you for your response and support , your page is very useful.
