In footer, field on right got indented & is no longer flush with the right side margin of text above
I had opted for the footer having three fields (not sure if they are called fields)-- one on the left, one in the middle, and one on the right. I am using all three fields. Somehow on the odd numbered pages, in the footer, the right side field became indented & is no longer flush with the right side margin of text on the page. The only way I know to fix this is to delete the footer and make a new one, which is really a pain in the neck as my footers contain a lot of information in them. Is there a way to get the right side field of the footer to again extend further to the right so as to become flush with the text on the page? |

This file has around 40 chapters in it, of which the right margin of the footer is proper in 35 chapters. In five chapters the right margin of the footer became larger for some reason. I had not set the right margin of the footer using styles. Are you saying that setting the right margin of the footer style now will fix the margin of the footer in these five chapters?

Footers do not have margins.
Sections have margins. The right Indent is a part of Paragraph formatting, usually set in styles. The default style for a footer is the Footer style. Your footers are in that style unless you changed to something else. The right margin and the right indent are usually the same but need not be. Again, change the right indent in your errant footers.
