Thank you both, I have tried both suggestions but once I make the changes and double click out of the first page and primary footer the text reverts back to "Text here..."
Frustrating as we're so close! |

As we haven't a clue what the real content of the footers is supposed to be it is difficult to judge. But if you copy the correct first page footer to the primary footer then what is there to revert? 'Text here ...' should not exist in either footer.

The footer will contain a client's bank details and registered office details etc. Both the first and primary footers currently contain 'Text here' per your kind amendments on the attached above. I just can't seem to overwrite it without it reverting back.

How are you populating the table with the client's bank information?

Double click into the footer, delete the text in there and typing in the correct text. Then once I click out of the footer and back in to the main document it reverts back to 'Text here...'

There are TWO footers in your document. One for the first page only. The other for all the rest of the pages. You have to change them both.
Ideally you should put content controls in place of the five pieces of information and fill them using a macro then you would get them right without manually editing. See example attached. Create a new document from the template.

Hi gmayer
I deleted both footer's and started again with the correct text and fingers crossed it has worked. Thank you for all your help! I never knew there was a first and primary footer! |
