I am editing a large document which was formerly paginated. The pagination starts on the title page. How do I remove the pagination from the footer and ensure that the pagination starts where I want it to and not on the title page or the Table of Contents? I am using Word 2007.

To remove the pagination from starting on the title page, delete it from the footer. Exit from the footer and insert a "section break" at the bottom of the title page. Go to the next "section" following the title page (it should be section 2 because the title page will be section 1) and insert you page number formatting. Make sure you do not click on "Same as Previous" (that will take you back to the title page -- section 1).
Now, if section 2 is your TOC and you do not want pagination to start there, insert another "section break" following the TOC, then insert you pagination in section 3. Hope this helps.... |
