Hi. I'm getting headachy unsuccessfully searching for an answer to a shading problem. I have a numbered list in a table. In one of the list, I manually shaded a text just as a mark to return to later on. But when I clicked in the heading styles, the manual shading was applied to all the texts with the same style. I tried Ctrl+Q, Crtl+spacebar, Find and replace highlight, checked the pattern and shading of the heading styles are clear and cut the text and pasted it as non formatted text but the stubborn shading remained.
When I tapped Ctrl+Q, the numbers were likewise shaded, so now I have shaded numbers and texts.


Any idea on how to remove the shading please? Thank you.

Could you provide a sample document for illustration? You should of course remove any sensitive content first.

Use the Manage Attachments button to upload a sample document. To see it, you may have to click the Go Advanced button

We need a file, not a screenshot.

Is your style based on another style?

Thank you both Charles and Stefan. My ancient laptop has a hotspot and wifi connection problem so I could not attach a sample. In my frustration I selected the whole 60 page, 49 tables file, reset the styles back to the defaults from the Design tab then modified and re applied again headings 1 to 5. It took me another 2 hours restoring an 8 hours work.
