Inking location in Word
Hi all,
I work at a company that makes implantable medical devices so traceability is a key concern. We use paper travelers right now, but I'm hoping to move us into the digital age as we have too much paper that gets lost. misplaced, etc. I was hoping to buy tablets (Surface Pro's) for our Technicians and go completely digital. I though that the pen would work great for filling out our Word based travelers. My problem is that we have sections for putting in lot numbers along with a blank line. These are in a cell as that is the layout of our documents and it does a good job of separating manufacturing steps. When I use the surface pen, Word always wants to center the ink in the center of the cell. So even though I am writing on the blank line, it will end up centering the ink so that it is no longer on the line. I tried locking the document and adding fields which works, but it always reverts eventually on my machine so that this happens again. Can I just have the ink always on top of text like pictures are? Any other options? It would also to use documents as they are instead of modifying every one of them right off the bat. Please help me move my company into the digital age. |
