Question WFM2008: How to print an image in a footnote

I have word for mac 2008. I created a footnote that is a tiny jpg image, along with a few words. It appears on the screen, but when printed, the image is not visible (the space for it is there), and the words are visible.

What can I do so the printed version shows the tiny jpg?

If you convert the document to PDF, then does the picture print?
