Word prompts me to save my document after exporting it to a PDF
Even though I have not changed the contents of the document since hitting Ctrl+S, after I exported the document to PDF. I am confronted with "Want to save your changes...?" Earlier it was working fine (it was not asking to save the file again once i save it as PDF), it started 2 days back. Not sure what setting got changed. Please help? I don't want to see that save changes pop-up second time. |

This is how Word behaves. It sees a change in the file even if none is apparently made.

As Charles wrote, Word seeing documents as "modified" happens a lot. It may happen less often if you turn off the option to automatically update fields on print (yes, to Word, saving as PDF resembles "printing").

Thank you for your response. Can you please let me know from where I can change this setting?

The setting for updating fields before printing is under File > Options > Display
However, my Word has this unchecked and I still get "Do you want to save changes" when doing some things like saving as pdf that should not trigger te warning. |
