Complex find and replace
I dont know this work or not , I want to find a character and replace with same character by reducing its length. For example I want to find the 'aaaaaa' and replace with 'aa'. the formula for replacing is divided by three. Eg: 'hhhhhhhhh' then it should replace to 'hhh' . what ever in the find box , it should be replaced with same letter by dividing its length by 3. please help |

For what you described, you could use a wildcard Find/Replace, where:
Find = ([a-z])\1\1 Replace = \1

Bravo Paul
That is a brilliantly simple solution that I would never have considered.
