Default customize Navigation pane for certain headings.

Hello there,

I want to customize navigation pane for certain headings.
I have three customized headings (HD1, HD2, HD3) and I have my Table of Content based on that.
However, when I enable the navigation pane, it automatically shows the (Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading 3, etc), which is useless for me, since I am working with three customized headings (HD1, HD2, HD3).
How to modify the navigation pane to show the headings: (HD1, HD2, HD3)?
BTW, these headings are applied only to one document and I don't want office to apply this settings to all doc files.
Thanks in advance.

If you assign "Outline levels" to your custom headings, they will show up in the Navigation pane. For each style, in the Modify Style dialog box, click Format and then click Paragraph. You'll find the "Outline level" setting on the Indents and Spacing tab of the dialog.

Thank you.
I assigned outline levels to HD1 - HD3 (my costume headings) and now they show up in the navigation pane.
However, I can not remove the outline level for Headings 1 to Headings 3, and they still show up in the navigation pane. Any idea how to remove outline levels from the default Headings 1 to Headings 3?
I modify the headings and set the outline level as "Body Text", however it automatically returns to "Level 1", and "Level 2", and etc.
Thanks again.

You can't customize the "Outline level" settings for the built-in heading styles. Even if you appear to be able to make the change, it won't stick, as you have noticed.
