I prefer Snap Objects To Grid disabled.
So I Uncheck (Blank) the box in the Drawing Grid dialog.

When I open another session of Word 2003, the default returns to a Checked Snap Objects To Grid box .

How do I permanently disable "Snap Objects To Grid" for all Word 2003 sessions, unless I choose ?
