Compatibility of Word programs
Good day, I am new to this forum and I am Italian, sorry for my English language
I downloaded a document from https://www.tvitalianaestero.com/ because I study abroad and I prefer to watch italian television. When I open the file it doesn't open. Could it be because I need a compatible version of Word, or it should open anyway and it doesn't matter my version? Sorry for the simple question, I am 16 years old and not well with computers. I hope someone can help me |

This is a forum about Microsoft Word. If you downloaded a Word file, it should open in Word. The language of the file does not matter for that.

Thank you Charles for your kind message. Maybe I didn't explain good. If this file was made in Word last version, and I have maybe a version too old (I have Word 2010), could this be the reason why the file doesn't open? Or the version of Word is not important in this case? Thanks again.

No. Word 2010 can open any Word file created since 1997 including from the latest versions. Feature unique to Word 3013 and later will not work, but that won't keep the document from opening.
