HI there, I have a project that has got stuck in picture format and I can't seem to get back in to edit or continue writing in it. I am sure I;ve done something simple but stupid. Can anyone help release?

It appears from your screenshot that the content is in a textbox. Select & copy the textbox content, then delete the entire textbox before pasting the copied content back into the document body.

Perhaps worse (given that the user says the text cannot be accessed or edited) there is a text box with no background fillplaced OVER the text; or worse still the text has been cut and pasted as an image. I doubt there is much that can be done with he latter, beyond OCR, but a text box should be selectable and this may be deleted.

Hi. Thanks or suggestions, but whenever I try to copy it copies and pastes back with the text box. Can't work out how to release the text from inside.

Without actually seeing the problem document, it can be difficult for anyone to diagnose the issue any further. Can you attach the affected part of the actual document to a post? You do this via the paperclip symbol on the 'Go Advanced' tab at the bottom of this screen.

Ok. This is a page from one of the stuck sections.

Somehow, you've managed to convert the text to an image. The simplest solution at this stage would be to save the document in PDF format, then use an application that can perform optical character recognition (OCR) on PDFs so the text can be extracted from them. Adobe Acrobat Pro (not the free reader) is one such application. Microsoft's own OneNote and Microsoft Office Document Imaging (MODI) are others, but obtaining and installing the latter is fiddly. thought as much. Thank you for your help. Will probably end up copying it all out again. O well. At least my touch typing will get some much needed practice.
