Colour Themes not consistent across multiple documents
Hi, I've been trying so many ways to fix this, I have lots of documents that I use as a set of documents like a package of rules for a company. There are about 200 documents in the set. I need to change the colour theme for shapes and text inside the documents as fast as possible.
I create a custom theme and start using it on each document as I go through them and some documents it works on and some it only changes the shape colours and not the text and others it changes both but to the wrong colour set. The text that I'm changing colour on is titles which are styled as "Heading 1". I want to be able to open a document and apply my custom theme and it works on all the documents that I apply it too. Ultimately I would like to find a software that allows me to input theme colours for shapes and fonts and press enter and it updates all the documents in a chosen folder. I'll settle for one document at a time regardless. Any ideas would be much appreciated. |

This all depends on the age and provenance of the documents. Many documents originally predate Themes and so their styles will know nothing about Theme colors. In addition, your documents may well have applied non-Theme colors to your styles.
For those documents that are resistant to Theme application, you would need to modify the problem styles to apply theme colors. You may want to apply a [Quick] Style Set to your problem documents. This would go a long way toward standardizing them and utilizing your Theme. Here are two utilities that can help do this in batch format. You would still need to look at each document because they may be using custom styles that are not in your Style Set. If there are a number like this that use the same custom styles you could add those styles using Theme colors to the [Quick] Style Set that you apply. |
