Per this page - Insert an AutoText entry: +Option+Shift+V

My recollection is that the (sometimes useless) tooltip does pop up and you can press Enter to accept. AutoText on the Mac. The key is to pay attention to what names you give your AutoText. (Hint: seldom use the name proposed.)
