I regularly create court orders in Word, which contain a sequence of dates, such as:

By +2 weeks from today, the claimant must [action].

By +4 weeks from today, the defendant must [action].



(1) I have a basic idea of how to use fields, e.g. { DATE \@ “d MMMM yyyy” } to insert today’s date, but how do I create a field which inserts a future date?

(2) My staff may take a week or 2 weeks to produce the order, so I also need to know how to insert a future date which is 2, 3, 4 etc weeks after another date which is 1 or 2 weeks from today?

I had this question as well. I looked at the file, but I don't understand where I can set the delay variable:

When I right click in a field, I only see Update Field (Edit Field is grayed out). I have allowed editing in the filed and allowed macros. I tried flipping on Developer view. Basic question I guess, but I didn't see how to do it.

Did you read the tutorial's Introductory Notes? Accessing the field codes is all explained there!
