Stop Word from changing Folder DATES?
Fellow Forum Members,
When I open a Word 2007 file and then close it without making any changes to the WORD file itself, the DATE of the file remains unchanged. This makes sense to me. However, what does not make sense to me is why the DATE of the folder containing the WORD file does indeed change after closing a WORD file that was closed without saving any changes to it. How do I prevent WORD from changing the DATE of the folder containing the Word file? I can't allow the date of the folder to change because it messes up the chronological order of 150 folders I have created. Each of these folders contains a resume I have sent out to a company which the folder is named after. If the date of the folder changes, the chronological order of the resumes I have sent out to companies gets out of whack. My theory is the following. When I open a WORD file, I noticed it generates a hidden temp file of some sort. Once I close my WORD file (without making no changes to it) this TEMP file disappears, but I suspect that this hidden file is causing the date of the folder containing my resume to change to the current date. Can this hidden TEMP file be causing the folder DATE to change for no reason? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |
