Default Possible to create a user form and populate it with a field from the main document?

Hi all.

Just as per title, I am wondering if this can be done. We have an internal form that is used for various ends. Today, we need to use the form for an additional function. However, when we print the filled in form, for this specific task, we will also need to print a small snippet piece of paper with two items of the main document: the document number and the document title. The remaining times, the document will just print the main document page normally.

Is there any way to do this? Usually you create forms to input data to a document. Is it possible to get data from a document and fill out the form then print it? This could maybe be a solution.

If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them. Thanks in advance!

By UserForm, I assume you mean a vba custom dialog box.

If the original information is bookmarked or otherwise is a specified container like a tagged content control or document property in the original, you can do this with vba. Open the document in the background, grab the content, and close it.

This would apply to two different documents, right? But what if it all resides in a single document? Is this still applicable? My VBA-fu is relatively weak and only as powerful as my google-fu.
