My problem goes like this: I copied a very long text from a webpage and pasted it on Word, changing the font, removing the spaces above and below the paragraph, and using Search and Replace to insert an extra space between paragraphs, for, basically, personal preference. However, this leaves me with the issue that sometimes there's a blank space at the start of the page. Is there a way for Word to automatically detect and delete these blank spaces at the start of the page so I don't have to manually delete every single instance?

Therein lies your problem. Instead of inserting empty paragraphs, you really should be using the paragraph 'space after' attribute if you want to ensure all text starts at the top of the page.

So I've heard. However, this does not answer my question. Thank you, but I'm afraid that I can't do that.

Not liking the answer isn't the same as not being the answer. The kludgy workaround is to go through the document and delete the unwanted empty paragraphs at the tops of pages. Good luck with that on a document that's subject to ongoing edits...

Macropod has already given you the correct answer.

If you enjoy doing things the wrong way, you could set every paragraph to keep with next and then set every BLANK paragraph to not keep with next.

Of course, that would also increase the amount of empty space at the bottom of the preceding pages...
