Using combo boxes in Word documents
I have a document where I am using many combo boxes with lots of items in the lists. I would like to use the same combo boxes in other places in the same document and probably in other documents. Does Word store these combo boxes in some kind of library where I can choose the combo box from a list to insert it where i need it?:confused

No, but within the same document, if you want the responses linked, you can use Mapped Content Controls and copy and paste.
If you want them independent of one another, save them as building blocks. Select and press Alt+F3. Save as AutoText or in your own gallery / category. |

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping I could get something to work like in Excel where you have data validation but within a Word document.

Validation is a separate matter from your initial question.
You can get validation with macros and UserForms with the ComboBox in the UserForm rather than in the document. Create a Simple Userform by Graham Mayor, MVP |
