Hi there, I work for a firm which creates documents for other businesses. We've just found out that some of these (what we call "forms" have a link to a document template on our server. That is, when opened on the customer's computer. My boss puts it best here: 1. The documents do still open, they just may take up to 30s or so to open, during which it says "contacting server for information". 2. Saving the affected documents also takes longer, but they do save, and if saved with different name, the link is broken and the document behaves normally. 3. Opening the affected documents when there is no Internet connection on the customer's computer means they open straight away. Can anyone help? Is there any way to "break" this link? Thank you! |
