There is an interesting problem and these suggestions may not actually be of assistance but it is all I can think of.
I also think it is a video driver issue but it sounds like you have done what you can there already. What happens if you copy a garbled image and paste into another Word document? Or paste into Powerpoint? If you use a zip tool to look inside the docx file and go to the Media folder, are the images viewable with the Windows viewer associated with that file type? Perhaps the image filters that Word is using need replacing - if the re-install of office didn't touch them.

When I copy and paste the image into another office program, I get the same result - is shows the image outline, and garbles random content over the image. I've also created a new document and pasted a new image, with the same results.
I did check the docx in winrar, and the images open and display normally in the image viewer. I've also got a post over on the microsoft answers site, and they're giving me an expanded list of things to do, some I've already done. I will try the rest of their suggestions too. |
