Hi all, I have a document which contains two A4 shapes - one on the first page and another on the second. Within those shapes I have text and some tables. Is it possible to link those shapes so that the text and tables flow from the first shape into the second?
If not, do I need to re-do the pages using text boxes rather than shapes? I'm attaching the dummy form to show you what I mean. So in the Items Discussed table, what I'd like is for people to add more entries (11, 12, and so on) and for the table to then "run on" on to page 2. Hope that makes sense. Thank you! xxx |

Why are you creating a document like that instead of just using a simple table in the body of the document? See attached. The shaded shape is now in the page header.

Hi there, thanks so much - that's exactly what I'm after. I'm a bit confused as to hwo you got the pale green shading without using shapes, though. How did you do that?

See the last sentence in my previous reply...

Sorry if I'm being thick here but the header section looks empty to me. What do you mean?

And if you click anywhere in the header below the 'Header' tag, you'll see your green shape's outline there...

I don't, though. The headers (and footers) are empty - the pale green is below the header. Sorry for my confusion here!

It is not 'below' the header, it's in it, but positioned below the 'Header' tag.

Thanks for your reply. So let's say I wanted to change the tint from green to yellow. How could I make edits if the header row is just showing as empty?

You open the header and click on the green shape and change it - just like you would if it was in the document body.

Aaaah, OK, yes, that works. But how the heck did you get it in there in the first place?!
PS So just to confirm, all the green furniture is in the header row, and it's only the body text and tables in the main body? |

Only the pale green object is in the header. The dark green one is still in the body.
