I put in hyperlinks to go to other parts of the document.



works in one windows 7 but not our main one.
is there a security thing i need to tick?

Does the same document show working hyperlinks on one computer and not the other? or...


Are you saying you cannot create a hyperlink in a document on one computer and can on the other?


If you can, get Word 2003. It is far superior to Word 2002.

the hyperlinks were created and worked on our other windows 7 laptop.
same version of the word software is on both laptops
wont work on this one.

Most likely, no installed internet browser is set as the default. You need one set as the default, regardless of whether the PC connects to the internet.

Go to Start|Control Panel|Add Remove Programs|Set Program Access and Defaults>Custom, then make sure whichever preferred browser you have installed is set as the default.

could not find that but found "turn windows features on or off" internet explorer was not ticked.
and you were of course correct. it works now.
