Default grouping lets me tab to checkboxes!

Charles, I would have sworn I'd tried this, but I just tried it again and it worked! I can't change the text outside the fields, and I can tab all the way through. You rock!!



One confusing thing: there are two places in the text that the insertion point goes to when I tab, but I can't modify the text so I'm not going to worry about it.
