Default Suppress "Show Markup > Formatting" in Compare Results

Greetings,

I compare documents frequently.

Each time I do, the results in MS Word 2016 show formatting differences.

I do not care about formatting differences in the records that I compare. I am interested only in wording differences.

I want to suppress "Show Markup > Formatting" from all and any compare results.

Please explain the steps for eliminating this as the default display in MS Word 2016.

Thanks!

qbie.
