There is a hidden page that I cannot find and it's screwing with all my other formatting. I've tried everything I can think of to delete the hidden pages. I've redone the section breaks every way I can think of.
  1. I've turned on Show/Hide markup and deleted all page and section breaks
  2. I've tried Next Page (which usually works for me), but it always adds an odd page, never an even one even when it calls for an even page.
  3. I've tried Even Page, but that also screws up all future pages.
  4. I've tried Page Break (non section break) and all it does is add the markup. I never see the new page.

I've attached a partial of the offending file. Thank you in advance!

What hidden page? There are 11 pages in the document. I've turned on page numbers and it also shows 11 pages. Why do you think there is a hidden page?

Your attached document has two sections ('next page' section break on page 7) and four manual page breaks (pages 1, 2, 3, 4). It displays across twelve pages on my system.

Your page layout specifies both a 'different first page' and 'different odd and even' setup for both sections. The page numbering is set to re-start at 1 in section 2. Page numbering is not specified for the first or even pages in each section.

There are no 'hidden' pages.

I'm not sure if it's a hidden page, but (at the highlighted section) when I go to add another page break, it does not add another page. It just adds the markup.

I may be wording it wrong. But, please see above. I'm having trouble adding a new page at the highlighted section, and I'm having a hard time with it constantly adding only odd pages. I have to specify them to be even when I add new pages/new sections.

That's because you're creating a conflict between the manual page break and the 'next page' section break. It will resolve itself immediately you type something between them.

You are awesome! Typing a space fixed the "hidden" page for me.

Do you perhaps know how I can fix the issue with it only ever adding odd pages when I try to add new sections?

So why not use 'even page' section breaks? Alternatively, see: https://www.msofficeforums.com/70481-post2.html

I think that the only odd-pages is related to the differente even or odd header/footer setting or the mirror margin setting. This is a vague recollection from a previous problem, not a certainty.
Try using new page before formatting on your first paragraph for the new page rather than a page break. This can be part of a heading style.
