Default Repeating Field Code for first column of a table

Hi,

I have created a field code that uses a sequence, and I want it to automatically repeat and be the only text in the cells of the first column of a table. How do I configure the table to do that?

Hi,

Can you elaborate please? To be clear, I want the first column, not header row, to contain the sequence numbering. So I would imagine I need to check the "First Column" box under the Table Design ribbon, but not sure where to go from there so that the sequence field is automatically included in any new row inserted into the table.

Attach a sample document and I will demonstrate for you.
You will need to leave the rest of the row blank.

Do you want the sequence to increase each time or do you want the same number? The header row would be for the same number.

How to attach a screenshot or file in this forum.

Repeating Section Content Control.

See attached file. The second table has such a section at the end. To add a row, click in the square at the bottom right.

Note that you will have to select the rows and press F9 to update the SEQ field.

Hi,

Can you explain how you formatted that? I'd like to reproduce it in my documents. Thanks.

Select the row you want to repeat with the SEQ field.
Under the Developer Tab apply a Repeating Section Content Control.
