How to add margin notes to a Word document.
Hi. I'm wondering how to add notes to the right-hand margin of a Word document. The instructions I've seen so far have said 'first select the text you wish to insert,' but I want to actually write in the margin rather than paste anything from the body of the text. I've also seen that it's possible to do this in such a way that the marginal comments are in small speech bubbles, which are clicked on to reveal the comments. How do I do that? Many thanks, Steve. |

Don't know about speech bubbles, other than the Comment feature itself. Then it depends on how you have your Track Changes and Comments set up for viewing on your machine; how they are viewed is not part of the document structure.
Here is how to have marginal notes that are actually part of the document structure. Marginal Text by Suzanne Barnhill, MVP Here is basic information about Frames: Frames and Textboxes in Microsoft Word |
