Default Document format on screen - Lost all settings

Howdy, I am brand new here. It is not because I know everything, It is because I do not know very much. Yesterday I was writing a letter when something went wrong. The document changed its form. It fills the page with no margins. There is no page break. And the tab bar now reads 12 inches instead of the 7.5 inches it read before.
Can anybody help me fix this? I have no idea what I did. Thank you all for helping me.

Start here: Elusive White Space by Suzanne Barnhill, MVP

Also, make sure that you are in Print View rather than draft view. (View tab)

Thank you for responding. I did find the "Leave Blank Space Between Pages", and it is marked. The space appears on the print page but not on the document.
How do I find the View" tab?"
Thank you.

You are using Word 2010?
Main tab is the Home tab. Look along the top at the tabs and find View.

Yes, well, Word 2010 Word Starter.

I looked all through the Home Section and I can find nothing referring to View.

Thank you

There are Tabs along the top of the Ribbon. Take a look at the page I linked before.

Home | Insert | View ...

I do not remember everything about the Starter edition, just that it was limited.
In the bottom right corner of your screen there may also be icons for views. If you mouse over them, they will tell you what they are.

For the Print Layout, Web Layout, Outline and Draft ‘layouts/views’, look to the left of the Zoom slider option (bottom right) and experiment with the options available – particularly with the Print Layout.
