My feeling is still that you might not need one list style per heading. So, for a document with three levels of heading plus five-level lists, you would only need four styles. (sorry, I have no understanding of how/why/when the forum resizes graphics)

So, if I want 5 bullet levels per heading level:

For H1, I will need a List Style 1 and Bullet Styles 1-1, 1-2, 1-3, 1-4, 1-5
For H2, List Style 2, and Bullet Styles 2-1, 2-2, 2-3, 2-4, 2-5

repeat as necessary for additional heading levels.
List styles are not exclusively for heading styles, as I'm sure you already know.

The key is that the nine numbering levels of a list style each should be associated with a unique paragraph style.
