How can I remove unnecessary spaces before punctuation marks?
Here's a picture to better demonstrate the issue. For what it's worth, the text is Arabic (right to left).

I didn't type anything, It's a translation(.srt file) for a video, and I found it that way.
Anyway, I had already tried that method you pointed out, but it wouldn't work with the "quotation marks", as it would remove the space after AND before the quotation marks, which would result in no space at all around the quoted word previous word " example " next word = previous word"example"next word Also for some reason, for the below instances, where a full stop isn't the last thing in a line, that find&replace command removes BOTH spaces around the full stop, even though I only type one space in the find field هذا أنت . أعتقدنا أنك becomes هذا أنت.أعتقدنا أنك Edit: Okay, I figured and sorted this part(in grey) out. (Word treats the Arabic full stop differently than the English one! That's why the replace thing didn't work properly). Now I'll just replace inside the " quotes " with "quotes", each occurrence at a time. Last edited by yehhanyos; 09-07-2019 at 07:32 PM. |
