Default Tabbing not working as expected?

Hi I am new to word 2019.

My problem is that I am trying to produce a manuscript for an upcoming court case, I intend to copy and paste my emails into this document to make it easier to read... I intent to have 3 fields... Initials of sender>>>>>>>>date and time >>>>>>>content of text or email.

So on line 1 it has JT then tab, then date and time, then tab, then the content of text.
Same again on line 2, it has SM then tab, then date and time, then tab, then content of message, however this is a long message which goes onto the next line and starts where the initials field is. I want to tab it across so that that line, lines up with the content of message section but when I press tab, the initials sections and date and time amon the lines above it also move across which I do not want. I essentially want three Columbn type things??? Can anyone help me?

You could put the content inside a 3-column table or you could set a "hanging indent"

If you have a lot of text written already where it wraps to the beginning of the next line, you can convert your text by going to the ribbon and choosing INSERT, Table, convert text to table, or you can create a new table that is 3 columns wide.

Alternatively, you can set a hanging indent by right-clicking on the text, choosing PARAGRAPH, and where it says "none" choosing "hanging" and set it to 1.5 if you haven't set up particular tabs.
