Locked word template as fill in then print only
Greetings!
I'm new to this forum and I would like to know how to create/adjust/whatever a Word Document template so that it can be filled in and printed, but the information filled in cannot be saved (i.e., if you save the document you will always save it as 'not filled out.'). I'm sure it can be done because certain FDA and DEA forms are like that. The FDA form 3331 NDA Field Alert Report is like that, but that is a pdf and not a Word document, though I have been assured that their Word version is the same way. I have attached an example of a form. It is TA661RM.dot (zipped to keep the forum software happy). The password to unprotect this form is "Example". This is a protected template that only allows the Editing Restriction "Filling in Forms." I would like to know if it is possible to fill in the permitted fields of this form, and print it up, but not be able to save the form with the information that has been input into the fields. And I would like to know how to do it. Thank you very much for your help. If possible you will have made many people in my department very, very happy. Enjoy Mogadeet |
