Default Moving Blocks in SmartArt Org Charts

I am trying to edit an organization chart created using SmartArt in Word 2007.

Does anyone know how to move a block from one branch to another? For example, I want to move someone from Team A to Team B. Sounds like it should be trivial, but I've not found a way to do it other than deleting the block from one location and adding a new one elsewhere. That's not so horrible for one or two blocks, but what if I need to move an entire branch?

Thanks

When you edit smart art, you get a text box that pops up. Using that at any level you can move an element (and its children) by pressing Shift-Alt-ArrowKeys. Use Shift-Alt-Up or Shift-Alt-Down within a branch. Use Shift-Alt-Left to give someone a promotion. Use Shift-Alt-Right to make them work for the person above them.

So if you want someone to move from Team A to Team B you hold Shift-Alt and press Left, Down, Right

Thanks for your reply, but I don't get any text box popping up when I click on the SmartArt org chart. The SmartArt Tools>Design ribbon opens, but that is all, and I can't find a tool there to move functions around. Selecting a block and using Alt-Shift-ArrowKeys doesn't do anything.

As I mentioned, I am using Word 2007, so maybe the functionality is limited.

Make sure that your document hasn't been saved in the older Word 97–2003 format(*.doc). In that format, SmartArt will have limited functionality.
