LISTNUM sequence suddenly stops
I am an attorney using LISTNUM to populate my exhibit numbers. By page 20 I was up to Exhibit P. I kept going, but all subsequent LISTNUM entries stayed at P. . . . M, O, P, P, P, P, etc. I refreshed the fields, but same result. I finally gave up and used hard input. Any ideas?
On a related note, should I have used SEQ? |

What is the underlying field code? If it just says { LISTNUM } with field codes displayed (Alt+F9 or Alt+FN+F9 on some keyboards), numbering should increase properly.

Note that the AUTONUMLGL field is not the same as LISTNUM.
AUTONUMLGL is provided only for backward compatibility reasons. If the AUTONUMLGL is inserted multiple times in the same paragraph, it will display the same number. See Field codes: AutoNumLgl field - Office Support.
